ACFTI Fellows Class of 2023 Announced

The Association of Cyber Forensics and Threat Investigators (ACFTI) has proudly unveiled the recipients of its highly esteemed Fellowship, acknowledging their outstanding accomplishments and services to the fields of digital forensics and threat investigations. The ACFTI Fellowship is a highly esteemed recognition, symbolizing exceptional expertise and dedication within the profession. It is a testament to the outstanding caliber of the profession that the ACFTI has awarded a 2023 fellowship to a deserving individual out of 184 nominations. 

ACFTI is proud to announce that Mr. Robert “Bob” Zeidman, president and founder of Zeidman Consulting, is the recipient of the ACFTI Fellow class of 2023. Mr. Robert “Bob” has demonstrated incredible expertise, innovation, and impact in his respective roles, significantly influencing the field of software forensics through his contributions.

Mr. Robert “Bob” Zeidman is the president and founder of Zeidman Consulting, which provides engineering consulting to law firms regarding intellectual property disputes. He is also the president and founder of Software Analysis and Forensic Engineering Corporation, the leading provider of software intellectual property analysis tools. He is the author of five textbooks, including The Software IP Detective's Handbook: Measurement, Comparison, and Infringement Detection. Bob has 28 issued patents, three awards from the IEEE, two bachelor's degrees, in physics and electrical engineering, from Cornell University, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

The ACFTI board of directors offers sincere congratulations to the recently appointed Fellow, Mr. Robert “Bob” Zeidman, recognizing the vital contributions he has made to further the profession. As the association plans for the future, we eagerly anticipate collaborating with the new Fellow to advance the field of software forensics and provide assistance to emerging professionals in their career paths in the ever-evolving realm of cybersecurity, digital forensics, incident response, and threat investigations.

The ACFTI grade of Fellow is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in any of the ACFTI fields of interest. The highest level of membership is widely acknowledged as a distinguished accolade and a significant milestone in one's career. Each year, the number of fellowship awardees is limited to no more than 0.1% of any number of nominated members.
