"A Holistic Approach to Cybersecurity Readiness: Application of the Commitment-Preparedness-Discipline Framework"

Abstract: Dr. Chatterjee will draw upon his empirically derived Commitment-Preparedness-Discipline (CPD) framework to present a holistic approach to cybersecurity readiness. More specifically, he will speak to several success factors and best practices that will enable organizations to create and sustain a high-performance information security culture.
About the Speaker
Dr. Dave Chatterjee, A cybersecurity and technology thought leader and subject matter expert, Dave Chatterjee, Ph.D., is a tenured associate professor in the Management Information Systems (MIS) department at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia (UGA). As a Duke University Visiting Scholar, Dr. Chatterjee has taught in the Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity Program at the Pratt School of Engineering. He is the author of the highly endorsed book, Cybersecurity Readiness: A Holistic and High-Performance Approach, a SAGE publication. In this book, Dr. Chatterjee describes the Commitment-Preparedness-Discipline (CPD) framework, a holistic approach to cybersecurity readiness. He has been using this framework and other tools to guide organizations in the various aspects of cybersecurity governance.
Dr. Chatterjee has written and edited scholarly papers, consulted with companies, served on a cybersecurity SWOT team with chief information security officers (CISOs), given expert interviews, conducted workshops and webinars, and delivered numerous talks at academic and practitioner forums around the world. He is the host and producer of the Cybersecurity Readiness Podcast Series, publishing over 60 episodes and reaching listeners in 90 countries. He holds the following certifications: Certificate in Cyber-Risk Oversight Program from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), a Smart Cities and Critical Infrastructure Security Professional (SCCISP) credential from the IoT Security Institute, and a Certificate in Cybersecurity (CC) certification from (ISC)2.
